We want to talk. We want you to listen.
We want you to talk. We want to listen.
We believe that if we can engage in a REAL conversation, we can make a difference. And by we, we mean you.
We are here to energize, activate, and empower allies in the pursuit of our shared purpose, by engaging in an ongoing conversation focused on truth, understanding, and problem-solving. We’ll talk to whoever wants to engage, for as long as they’d like to continue.
This is what allyship looks like. When a community is dedicated to diversity and inclusion, the impact is invaluable.
In May of 2020, in the wake of the murder of George Floyd, Kyle R. Williams had an uncomfortable conversation with his son’s basketball coach, Gettysburg Colleges Coach B. J. Dunne.
As a result, Coach Dunne realized he could use his position to effect change in the Gettysburg community. He immediately got to work making Gettysburg a safer and more inclusive environment for all.
As an anti-racism ally, Coach and Kyle engaged in ongoing conversations that helped form A Long Talk About The Uncomfortable Truth.
His boots on the ground call to action has been a catalyst for the work being done at Gettysburg and around the country.
