Our growing community is in a platform hosted by the company: “Circle” The name of our community in this platform is: “ALT-Universe” also referred to as “The Universe”.
People who have already gone through A Long Talk or are preparing to go through A Long Talk share this Universe.
You’ll sometimes see the name or reference to Circle or Circle.so and that’s okay.
The login page for “The Universe” will always be: https://www.alt-universe.co.
-
If you receive a “Circle: Oops, this page is not found.” error while trying to login in to your classroom.
Please refresh your screen. It should correct and you’ll see the login page.

When using Safari on an iOS device, you may have issues logging into a community, whether in a browser or an embed. You might enter the correct email and password, only to find that nothing happens and you can't enter the community. Many describe this as being "stuck in a loop."
The cause of this is Safari's strict privacy settings called 'Block all cookies' and 'Prevent cross-site tracking.' If these were enabled in the past, it could prevent websites from working and block data needed during a login redirection.
Here are steps to resolve this issue:
Please note that we only support iOS 15+.
Desktop steps:
Navigate to Safari → Preferences → Privacy
Ensure that 'Prevent cross-site tracking' and 'Block all cookies' are unchecked.
Mobile steps:
Navigate to Settings → Safari → Privacy and security
Make sure ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ and ‘Block All Cookies’ are toggled off.
If that still doesn't work, you may want to try deleting your cookies, history, and cache. You can find steps on how to do this for your device here.

It is best not to share the login information for your universe community.
When one bypasses our registration form it makes it difficult to know the number of registrants vs who has made it into your classroom.
Making it also difficult for us to pass the final numbers on to your referral person.

Please contact the referrer within your organization and/or info@alongtalk.com.
There are public community events on our website that you can join in place of missing out on one of your sessions. -
When this happens and you are required to attend - please speak with the person that referred you. If we are at maximum capacity for a call there’s nothing we can do on our end unless we’ve been given a caveat.
An alternative if you’ve found it will be allowed: Visit our Events page. Register for one of our next upcoming Community Conversations. These are open to the public and are in two parts: Part 1 and Part 2 - 90 mins. each: 7-9p EST.

*If you have an in-person event there may not be a Zoom link required.
-
Upon completion of your mandatory pre-work assignments you received a zoom link. It is best not to share that zoom link amongst your peers and/or colleagues.
When we’re asked by your referrer for a “head count’… imagine running that zoom report. All of the shared links show up only as the name of the person who shared the link.
We will allow you to be in the same room on the call with no more than 3 people. Type in your names to introduce who is physically on the call with you.
